Dear Friends of Moose River Outpost,
It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the Moose Tracks Blog. This blog will serve many purposes during the course of the camp year, the greatest of which will be to keep you connected with the camp you love so much. Moose River Outpost is many things: It is 7000 of the most beautiful acres in Maine. It is the newest of three world-class camps operated by Christian Camps and Conferences. It is a place with a rich history and a limitless future. More than anything, though, it is a gathering of people. As a new director, I can walk the grounds as often as I want and memorize every camp policy, but I will not know Moose River Outpost for what it really is until I can share it with each of you this summer and throughout this retreating season. That’s because the value of Moose River Outpost is held in hundreds of private accounts – each of you holds one. The relationships you’ve built, the lessons you’ve learned, and the memories you have made with your cabinmates are the most valuable assets of the camp. This blog serves to connect us, our memories, and our friends just a little more closely.
Moose Tracks will also provide us, the staff of MRO, with a way to tell you about important events at MRO, or in your area. Very soon, you will be hearing from me about a chance to see me or Marcus Corey in person as we visit your area. You will have a chance to ask questions about MRO and learn about what’s been happening with the ministry this year. Most importantly, you will get to spend an evening with other MRO and Brookwoods or Deer Run campers near your home. If you are interested in hosting a gathering like this or helping to organize one in your area, please contact me at craig@christiancamps.net.
Finally, this blog will act as a service for parents and others who can’t actually attend a summer session at camp. Each of you can check in here and learn about what the campers at MRO are up to. We will be posting summaries of some of our summer Bible studies, as well as highlights from the daily schedule at camp, and even some photos of what camp looks like while in operation.
Whether you are a camper whose bags have been packed since Christmas for another action packed summer, or a diligent prayer partner who regularly seeks the Lord on behalf of camp, this blog is for you. Thank you for making Moose River Outpost a ministry that honors God by being not just a place, but also a collection of memories and relationships that draw us closer to him.
“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”
-Thessalonians 5:11
Keep checking in to learn about MRO events at camp or in your area!

Been praying mightily for all staff and campers. I plead with our Savior to melt the hearts that need Him, burn passion into the hearts of the staff, and warm the souls of each one involved at His MRO. bless you all… and tell Blaine his sailboat was sold today.
